By placing an order with K9ALASKA, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure transparency, safety, and fairness for both our business and our customers. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. Business Focus
K9ALASKA creates high-quality, handcrafted gear for dogs, with a specialization in equipment for service dogs and service dogs in training. We are proud to support working dog teams by offering functional, durable, and ethical gear options.
In addition to service dog gear, we also make equipment for:
Therapy Dogs
Reactive Dogs
Pets
However, service dog-specific gear (such as labeled vests or patches) will only be sold with clear intent for a working team. Misrepresentation of a pet as a service dog is not tolerated and is Illegal.
2. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion, including but not limited to:
Misrepresentation of a pet or untrained animal as a service dog,
Requests for inappropriate or misleading gear (e.g., patches that falsely claim public access rights),
Disrespectful behavior, harassment, or hate speech,
Any custom request that violates our ethical standards or the law.
As allowed by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we also reserve the right to ask the two permitted verification questions when a customer orders service dog gear:
Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?
What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
If the answers are incorrect, incomplete, or misleading, we may refuse service.
3. Design Changes and Custom Orders
A non-refundable 10% down payment is required to begin any mockup or design consultation.
Once production begins, no changes can be made to the order, including size, materials, color, or design.
We reserve the right to reject any custom order that:
Includes hate symbols or offensive messages,
Falsely implies service dog status,
Infringes on intellectual property.
4. Payment Plans
We offer payment plans for qualifying orders. These require:
A 30β50% non-refundable down payment, depending on the orderβs size,
A signed agreement outlining the full payment schedule,
No production will begin until the contract is signed and the required percentage is paid.
Failure to fulfill the payment plan may result in cancellation of the order without refund of any paid amount.
5. No Refund Policy
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances, including:
Incorrect size or design choices made by the customer,
Change of mind,
Shipping delays outside of our control,
Dissatisfaction with appearance after approval of mockup or delivery.
Please reach out before placing an order if you have any doubts or questions.
6. Fixes and Repairs
We offer repairs on defective or damaged items within 30 days of delivery (shipping not included unless otherwise agreed). Repairs beyond 30 days or due to misuse may be subject to additional fees.
7. Misuse and Liability Disclaimer
All products should be used only as intended. We are not liable for:
Injuries to animals, people, or property due to misuse, improper fit, or modification of our gear,
Improper use of gear for untrained dogs or dogs working in inappropriate environments,
Customer failure to follow safety, sizing, or product care instructions.
Always inspect gear before use and monitor its condition over time.
8. Turnaround Times and Shipping
Turnaround times vary based on order volume, complexity, and season. Orders begin production only after full payment or agreed deposit is made and any mockups are finalized.
Rush Orders are available for an extra fee and must be pre-approved.
We are not responsible for postal delays, customs holds, or stolen/lost packages once shipped.
9. Code of Conduct
We are committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive space. We do not tolerate:
Hate speech, harassment, slurs, or intimidation,
False claims or unethical requests,
Abusive communication toward our business or its community.
Violations may result in permanent bans and reporting to platform hosts or legal channels.
10. Shipping Responsibility Disclaimer
Once a package is handed over to the postal carrier, we are no longer responsible for it. Any delays, damages, or losses that occur during shipping must be addressed directly with the shipping provider (USPS, UPS, etc.).
Customers are fully responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address at the time of purchase.
We are not liable for:
Packages delivered to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided in the order form,
Re-delivery costs due to incorrect address submission,
Postal service delays, tracking issues, or lost/stolen mail.
Please double-check your address at checkout to avoid issues.
11. Intellectual Property
All original content (gear designs, product photos, layouts, brand assets) is protected under copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized duplication or resale is prohibited.
12. Terms Updates
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always apply to current and future orders.
